The side effects of colon cleansing are generally very mild and can range from slight cramping to blood in the stool to headaches or dizziness. These side effects are usually do to the elimination of toxins from the colon and digestive tract.

When using supplements, however, it’s a good idea to check with your doctor first, especially if you’re taking prescription medication. If your doctor does not believe in natural therapies, then try another doctor or just state that you will be taking the supplements to find out what symptoms should indicate danger. However, most doctors are agreeable with natural therapies in most circumstances. If the supplements might interfere with a serious health condition, such as diabetes, heart diseases or high blood pressure, then discuss alternatives.

Colon Cleanse Side Effects Some medications, when mixed with herbal supplements have their effectiveness reduced or could cause some nasty side effects include:
