Before we start to discuss intestinal cleansing, let’s start at the basics. What, really, are the intestines? The intestines are comprised of two organs, the large intestine and the small intestine and are basically the digestive system from the stomach to the anus.

The colon is part of the large intestine, which is designed to work to get rid of solid waste material. The small intestine is designed to digest the food that we eat.
