Homemade Colon Cleanse Recipes

~ Colon Cleanse - My Health Journey ~
I LOVE to cook! So – recipes are my thing. I like to try new recipes and when I first started to get into colon cleansing, I researched recipes. Here are some more of my favorites colon cleanse recipes:
Awakening Health has the following recipe:
1 tablespoon psyllium seed husk
1 tablespoon bentonite clay
1/2 cup fresh non-citrus juice
2 cups of water
Mix all in blender or shaker and drink as fast as possible.
To take a different angle, a blogger called heathmarie believes that mineral baths can help to clean out the colon. The heat and the components of the recipe are good at drawing out toxins within the body. Remember – don’t drink this – use it in the bath!
1 cup sea salts
2 cups baking soda
1 cup Epsom salts
1 to 2 tablespoons glycerin per bath
This makes a jarful – use a handful when preparing a bath.
Here’s a recipe for tea (and I LOVE tea as well) from ProfessorsHouse:
¼ inch Ginger Root (grated)
1 tsp Honey
1 tsp Chamomile
1 tsp Peppermint
Not only does this tea help with the digestive system, it also promotes overall good health. Peppermint is often used for good lung and breathing issues. Chamomile is often used for emotional issues. So – this recipe is good for more than just the colon.
From the same site, I found a recipe for vegetable juice that I think I’m going to try. It looks good and has all the ingredients a good homemade colon cleanser should have.
6 oz Celery juice
1 oz Wheatgrass Juice
1 oz Spinach juice
1 oz Cabbage juice
1 oz Parsley or Alfalfa Sprouts
Hmmm, hmmm – that looks good. I’ll let you know what I think. Please look at the sites I borrowed the recipes from and find more recipes for your colon cleanse recipe book!
